Searching for a definite answer thanks to Google.

Our lesson was all about Google searching. I learned that there is a certain Google Cheat codes that made searching through Google easier and specific. These cheat codes are very helpful if you have to search for an information on a certain topic easily and fast. We also used this kind of searching for our exercise. I was glad that the exercise was easy.

I hope that even in life we can apply this kind of Google searching. It must have been easier for us to define love, happiness, and solitude. If this happens, then we could possibly define every single thing that we are unknown to. Also, this kind of searching might even help us find our long lost loved ones, our prized possessions, or even the love of our life. Well that is one great thing! I would definitely use this kind of searching if Google has invented it. :)

This kind of searching, which is really idealistic, could also help us in soul searching and find the secrets in our life. What a great way of searching for something/someone if this application really exists.

Enough of the lesson. This week is really a hectic week for me. There are org activities and academic requirements and more org activities. Oh how I wish the days would just pass by.
Yesterday we had a workshop with our senior adviser in UP Film Circle, Sir TJ Monserrat. We really enjoyed the lecture. After the workshop we had a sideshow wherein the members will watch a certain movie and then we will critic it. We watched Precious and it was a really good film because it tackles about the different realities in life.

Also I helped in the mounting of the SOC exhibit. This coming July 15 is our 34th anniversary and we will be having activities in line with our theme, Synergy.

This is really a week full of activities and I hope that all of it will be a success! :D

Commands

Our lesson for today was all about commands. These commands are all typed in the terminal and it will be used to interact with a computer operating software. The commands are tasks which will be acted upon by the OS. The method of instructing a computer to perform a given task is referred to as "entering" a command: the system waits for the user to conclude the submitting of the text command by pressing the "Enter" key.

It was a new experience for me to interact with the OS just by using commands and not by using the traditional way of making documents and folders.

It was hard but I did enjoyed it. I just hope that I won't forget the codes so that next time I can still apply it fully. During the exercise, some parts of it were hard because I forgot the codes and so I used the trial and error method of using the command prompt.

All in all, I learned the different codes used to command an OS and it really adds up to my little knowledge on computers. :)
