Today we tackled things about Linux and its advantages over Windows. Linux was created by a Finnish student named Linus Torvalds. He was a student in the University of Helsinki, Finland. Linux is an open-source operating system meaning it is free for all users while Windows is not free.
Ubuntu is an operating system based on the Linux distribution which is also free of use. Ubuntu is named after a Southern African ethical principle which means "humanity towards others". It is easy to install in most computers and also easy to use.
Windows and Linux have differences. One is that Linux is for free while Windows has proprietorship. Their user interface also varies. Also the directory structure differ from one another. In Windows you can have as many structures of directory while in Linux you only have one root directory.
I think that Linux is much better in a way that it is free and also has easier applications but Windows is much more known to us. I hope that next time we would all be able to acknowledge Linux for its usability and helpfulness.
